STAND WITH ASIAN AMERICANS EXPANDS LEADERSHIP TEAM WITH NEW CHIEF OF STAFF/HEAD OF OPERATIONS IN ITS CONTINUED FIGHT AGAINST ANTI-ASIAN DISCRIMINATION IN THE WORKPLACE
January 5, 2026 (Temple, TX) — Stand with Asian Americans (SwAA), America’s first legal civil rights organization focused primarily on combating anti-Asian workplace discrimination, announced the hiring of Zac Siriboon as Chief of Staff and Head of Operations.
Zac Siriboon is an accomplished inclusion and belonging specialist with extensive operations, accounting, and finance expertise. He joins SwAA from Ernst & Young (EY), an international consulting firm, where he began his career as an auditor for leading and emerging technology companies in the Bay Area before transitioning to advising clients on inclusion and belonging strategy, leadership and culture, and change management. At EY, he also led numerous diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and pro bono matters to support under-resourced communities.
While advancing in his professional career, Siriboon, a second-generation Thai American, grounded himself by helping build and sustain the business his family started over 30 years ago. From grassroots marketing campaigns that involved licking stamps as a child to applying for disaster relief grants at the height of the pandemic, Siriboon’s time supporting his family’s business made him adaptable, resourceful, and innovative. He brings these attributes, passion, and a sense of urgency to taking SwAA’s vision and mission to the next level.
Siriboon succeeds Brian Pang, who served as a volunteer and an advisor to SwAA after he transitioned from his former role as COO and Head of Partnerships to join Charitable Impact as Head of the Project Management Office and focus on his consulting business, SKYROCKET. SwAA appreciates his contributions and continued advocacy for the Asian American community.
This strategic hire marks the dawn of an exciting new chapter in SwAA’s journey as a first-of-its-kind civil rights organization. Siriboon will act as Rachel Lee’s right hand and thought partner to bring SwAA’s mission to life through its three strategic pillars of advancing justice through (1) legal action (2) education for employers and employees, and (3) empowering our communities.
“In my conversations with Rachel and the SwAA Board, it’s been made clear to me that SwAA is ready to run. I am eager to roll up my sleeves to build on and augment frameworks and programs that empower our community to use their collective power and voice to eradicate discrimination and accelerate the economic and social well-being for all Asians in America, including those that are under-resourced.”
SwAA is well positioned to play a critical role in advancing social and economic justice for Asian Americans in communities across the country. Siriboon’s hire is a clear statement that SwAA is ready to broaden the impact of its mission with compassion and operational excellence.
“Zac’s joining SwAA marks an important moment of growth and renewed energy for our organization,” said Rachel Lee, President and General Counsel of SwAA. “He brings a unique combination of operational savvy, resourcefulness, and people-centered mindset that closely align with SwAA’s mission. Zac’s focus on building frameworks that drive impact while staying grounded in the needs of the communities we serve is exactly the kind of operational leadership that will help propel SwAA through its next chapter.”
Co-founder and Board Member Justin Zhu adds, “Zac is a critical addition to SwAA, as the battle for Asian American civil rights continues and as we intensify our efforts to provide the last line of defense for individuals experiencing workplace discrimination in the coming years.”
Board Member April Moh added, “Zac is the kind of leader every mission-driven organization needs in its next chapter: an operator with heart. He knows how to build the systems that scale impact without losing sight of the people we’re here to serve, and I’m excited for what his partnership with Rachel will unlock for our community.”
